Growing up, I wanted to be an astronaut. I dreamed of reaching beyond the sky into the great unknown. That childhood dream sparked a passion that never left me: a deep love for studying outer space.
The more I learn, the more I realize God’s majesty and power are beyond anything we can fully comprehend.
In the next few minutes, we'll journey through space together. This is a post filled with wonder! One that will open your eyes to the greatness of God and perhaps even transform the way you pray..
The Pale Blue Dot

Did you notice that tiny dot near the photograph's centre, slightly to the right? That’s Earth, within that beam of sunlight 1.
That pale blue dot is where you are right now, reading this post. It is where we are born, where we dream, live, laugh, cry, win, lose and die.
This photograph was taken by NASA’s spacecraft Voyager 1 at a distance of 3.6 billion miles from the Sun. Voyager 1 was launched in 1977 and took about 13 years to travel that distance. It is the most distant human-made object.
From out there, we are invisible, the pale blue dot seems insignificant. And yet God sees us! In all the vastness of space, He set His love upon that tiny dot, gave His only Son, so that whoever on that tiny dot believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
Psalm 8:4 NKJV
[4] What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?
Designed With Precision
The Earth may look like a pale blue dot from outer space, but it is no accident. Every detail about our planet reflects the wisdom, power and intentionality of its Creator.
Earth’s rotation
Genesis 1:5 NKJV
[5] God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day.
God is the One who commanded Earth to spin, He set it in motion. This rotation gives us the cycle of day and night. Even the tilt of the Earth's axis (about 23.5 degrees) is finely tuned. It creates the seasons, regulates climates, and allows for the rhythms of planting, growth, and harvest across the globe.
Gravity: The Invisible Force
Gravity holds us to the ground, keeps everything in place. Without it, nothing would hold together. Gravity is strong enough to keep our feet on the ground, but gentle enough to allow us to move.
It is an invisible force, but behind it is the visible wisdom of God, holding all things together.
Colossians 1:17 NKJV
[17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
Earth’s position
Earth is at a distance of about 93 million miles (150 million kilometres) from the sun.
This region is known as the Goldilocks zone. It is the region around a star where conditions are just right for liquid water to exist on the surface of a planet. This zone is considered a prime location for finding life. God intentionally positioned Earth at the right distance from the sun to sustain life!
These are not random accidents. They are the fingerprints of a Creator who designed a planet not just to exist but to sustain life, joy, and worship. He did it for us! For you!
A Call To Worship
Now, if I were you, I would put on some worship music and worship the Creator! Because He is just too great!
Nehemiah 9:6 NKJV
[6] You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.
We serve a BIG GOD!!! No wonder He is attracted to small and seemingly insignificant things so He can make it BIG like He is!
